The good news is that this windy, rainly weather is easing this afternoon and the forecast for Saturday and Sunday is pretty good with showers clearing Saturdays and the winds at only 11 km.hr E in the morning to 18 km/hr E in the afternoon. Sunday mainly fine and at 6 km.hr NNE in the morning to 20 km/hr NNE in the afternoon.

Offshore - Bad conditions the last couple of days have made current information impossible. One troubling fact coming from last weekend was the large number of call outs by Marine Rescue. While two were from vessels that had overturned that rest were from vessels that had experienced engine or fuel problems. With the beautiful weather I guess that boats that had not been used over the winter were being given their first run in a number of months. Always best to give them a bit of a run before crossing the bar. Looks like the mornings on the weekend should be good at this stage. Log on with MRNSW by radio or there is a free MarineRescue app. Now...you should be able to catch Snapper, tusk fish, pearl perch, trag on the 30's and around Cook Island. Reports early in the week of Wahoo and Spanish mackerel off the gold coast so you could try 9 mile. We will post and current info as we receive it.

Beaches - Whiting at Cabarita.

Beach gutters should be working early morning and late afternoon for Tailor. Kingscliff and Moobal.
On the gold coast at Bilinga and Palm Beach.

River - The rain should be good news for the crabbers. Mud crabs and Bass in the upper reaches. Whiting at the Anchorage on beach worms or yabbies. By boat - try behind Seagulls on the high tide in the morning.
Flathead along fingal sandflats and behind golf course
Trevally and Yellowtail kingfish from rock walls at the entrance.
School Jew at Cobaki bridge at night.
